There are many exciting opportunities available to you as a nursing professional. Nursing care has become increasingly more complex and requires educational preparation far exceeding the minimal requirements for RN licensure. Critical thinking, autonomous decision making, technological savvy, as well as specialization in an ever-growing number of content areas are required for a significant proportion of contemporary RNs.

The Nursing Education Act supports nursing programs and assists individual nurses in pursuing an advanced degree through scholarships, fellowships, and grants for innovative projects. Monies are targeted primarily for educational programs that prepare nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists, and advanced clinical specialists.
